tonight marked the lakers' first regular season game - and paige's first official kobe bryant freak out. she was beyond thrilled to see him dribbling down the court ("WHERE'S KOBE, MAMA?!?!?! AHHHHHH!!! THERE'S KOBE!!! GO KOBE!!!"), and i had to call her kobe for the rest of the night. lucky me got to be pau gasol (which comes out more like "paddysol").
here's what i had to say to get her away from the game on TV and into the bathroom for bedtime prep: "kobe! time to brush your teeth kobe! you have a big game tomorrow. come let pau gasol brush your teeth. pau gasol ALWAYS helps kobe brush his teeth before big games."
somehow i have a hard time believing that, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
