snow fun in big bear!

this past weekend we headed up to nana & papa's place in big bear to take advantage of all the incredible snow they've been getting. grant took his first ski lesson in the driving snow/rain/snow/rain on saturday, executing several solid snowplows before breaking down in tears from being soaking wet and freezing cold. the rest of the weekend we spent playing in the deep powder, throwing snowballs, sledding and building snow forts. grant kept saying, "mom, i'm having a BLAST!!!" which is pretty much the best thing you can hear from a 4 year old. paige, however, wasn't such a fan of the snow...probably because her mittens wouldn't stay on and she could hardly walk in all those puffy clothes.
