as the game drew to a close, grant said: "mom, i know we're really dodgers fans, but can we just pretend to be phillies fans?" NO WAY JOSE. WE'RE DODGERS FANS. "but mom, pllllllleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaasssssseeeeeeee can we pretend we live in philadelphia and that we want the phillies to win?" NO! NEVER! "awww. ok. i'm so sad. we wanted the dodgers to win. poor russell martin. poor andre."
the next morning, paige picked up the pieces.
