today at the fair, i bought paige a beautiful mermaid doll with long blond hair and a shimmering pink tail. she is absolutely in love with it.
as we were walking back to the car, she asked, "mama, do we get to borrow this?"
to which i replied, "no, sweetie. we bought it! so we get to keep it. it's yours forever and ever."
she got the brightest, sweetest smile and said, "oh, i never had a toy mermaid with such long, long hair. thank you so much mama for letting me have her. thank you for buying her for me. i love you so much, mama."
she really has such a sweet little soul. i love my girl so so so much.
